Celebrating in Downers Grove

What Downers Grove venues usually need

Downers Grove mixes a walkable downtown and Metra stops on the BNSF line with office parks along I-88 and Butterfield Road. That combination makes it a natural spot for both family events and corporate gatherings, sometimes on the same weekend.

For corporate campuses and downtown event spaces, plan only what the venue does not include: often chairs, linens, chargers, lounge pieces or a dance floor.

For backyards near downtown, plan a tent or canopy, tables and chairs, linens, string lights and, after dark in spring or fall, patio heaters.

For arboretum-area celebrations, plan tables, chairs and a canopy if the permit allows, plus a generator or battery lighting where there is no power.
