Planning notes
Chicago summers are short, so people make the most of them. Block-party weekends, anniversary dinners under string lights, Fourth of July cookouts and backyard engagement parties all fill the calendar from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
City yards are small and usually reached through a gangway or the alley behind a two-flat. Suburban lots in places like Wheaton, Geneva or Arlington Heights have more room, but often come with slopes, soft grass and long walks from the driveway.
We'll ask how to reach the yard, where the ground is level, and what the plan is if it rains. A few minutes on a call saves a lot of hauling the day of.
