Chosen for The Loop

Three chairs that suit The Loop

Gold Infinity Chair for rent in Chicago: sleek metal curves with a modern edge. Shown in gold; also available in gold, silver, black.

A slim metal ballroom-style chair that reads formal in a ballroom or boardroom without the expected Chiavari look.

Ghost Chair for rent in Chicago: clear acrylic that lets the florals do the talking. Shown in clear; also available in clear, smoke.

Ghost Chair

$10–14

Lets floor-to-ceiling windows and skyline views take center stage at rooftop and high-floor events.

Mid-Century Shell Chair for rent in Chicago: molded shell, wood legs, modern and comfortable. Shown in white; also available in white, terracotta, sage, black.

A clean mid-century shape that suits modern office floors and product launches without looking like conference furniture.

Celebrating in The Loop

Downtown events run on the building's clock, not yours. A shareholder meeting on the 40th floor, a nonprofit gala in a restored ballroom off State Street or a rooftop reception overlooking the river all share one thing: a property manager who controls the dock, the freight elevator and the hours you're allowed to use them. Getting those details in writing before the truck leaves is the difference between a calm setup and a crew idling on Wacker Drive.

The Loop also mixes eras in a way few downtowns do. Ornate early skyscrapers with marble lobbies sit next to glass towers with modern amenity floors, and each type tends to come with different protections for floors, walls and elevator cabs. We ask about those up front and bring padding and carts suited to the space, so your chairs arrive without scuffing a lobby that's been standing for a century.

For corporate planners, the practical concerns are usually headcount changes, quick room flips between a keynote and a dinner, and a clean breakdown after the last guest leaves. We itemize delivery and setup in every quote, and we're happy to walk through room diagrams on a short planning call before you commit.

Where people celebrate

  • I.

Corporate amenity floors and conference centers

Often booked for all-hands meetings, client dinners and holiday parties, with tight access windows before and after business hours.

  • II.

    Historic hotel ballrooms

Grand rooms near Michigan Avenue and State Street that suit galas and weddings, though many have in-house furniture policies worth checking.

  • III.

    Rooftop decks

Skyline views come with wind and weight considerations, so chair choice and stacking matter more up top.

  • IV.

    Riverwalk-adjacent event spaces

Spaces along the Chicago River that work well for receptions, though access can involve stairs or narrow service routes.

Delivery notes

Know before we arrive

Every The Loop venue is a little different. These are the things we ask about on a planning call so chairs are placed and ready before your first guest walks in.

  1. 01

Reserve the freight elevator as early as possible and confirm the cab dimensions. We'll plan stack heights and cart sizes around them.

  2. 02

Most Loop buildings require a certificate of insurance from vendors. We can't issue one yet, so confirm your building's rules before booking and mention them on your planning call.

  3. 03

Street loading downtown is limited and often ticketed. If your building has a dock, ask for a reserved time; if not, tell us so we can plan the shortest legal stop.

  4. 04

Weekday events usually mean after-hours load-in. Let us know the earliest and latest times the building allows so we can quote setup accurately.

Questions

Renting chairs in The Loop

Can you deliver event chairs to an office building in the Loop?

Yes. We schedule Loop deliveries around your building's dock and freight elevator times. Many buildings also require a certificate of insurance, which we can't issue yet, so share your building's vendor rules when you request a quote and we'll tell you up front whether we can meet them.

What is a COI and why does my Loop venue want one?

A certificate of insurance shows that a vendor carries liability coverage, and many downtown buildings require one before any vendor can load in. We don't issue certificates of insurance yet, so if your building requires one, tell us before you book and we'll be upfront about whether we can help.

Can chairs be set up after business hours downtown?

Often, yes, since many Loop buildings only allow vendor load-in early in the morning or after 6 pm. We'll plan around whatever window your building gives you and itemize any setup time in the quote.

Are chairs safe to use on a windy Chicago rooftop?

Heavier frames hold up much better than lightweight folding chairs when the wind picks up off the lake. Tell us your rooftop's exposure and we'll recommend styles that stay put.

How many chairs do I need for a corporate dinner in the Loop?

Start with your confirmed headcount plus a small buffer for late additions and staff, then subtract any built-in banquettes. If you're unsure, our blog guide on chair counts walks through it, or we can work it out with you on a planning call.
