Celebrating in Sycamore
Sycamore is the DeKalb County seat, and its historic courthouse square is the heart of town. Brick storefronts, mature trees and a classic Victorian streetscape make the center a favorite backdrop for photos. Each fall the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival takes over downtown, and the weeks around it are among the busiest of the year for local gatherings. The grain of old brick, shade trees and the Victorian porches that ring the square give the town a look that photographs well in every season.
Neighborhoods around the square are filled with large historic homes, some with deep lots that suit backyard weddings and graduation parties. Sycamore Park District properties, including Sycamore Park with its community pool, provide space for pavilion events, while the Kishwaukee River and farm country just beyond town give the area a rural feel. Church halls and small venues handle a lot of showers and receptions.
Delivery in Sycamore is mostly about the square. Events nearby may have limited curb space, and festival weekends close streets. Route 23 and Route 64 carry traffic in and out. We match you with the closest vendor and itemize delivery in your quote so you see what the distance from the Fox Valley adds. Tell us where the truck can stop and we will plan around it.
