Where Highwood hosts use linens

Streets are compact, with older homes, small lots and limited curb space, so delivery logistics deserve extra thought. Fort Sheridan's lakefront and the Lake County forest preserve land nearby add outdoor options with their own rules. Tell us your venue or yard and guest count, and we will help plan chairs and tables that fit the footprint. A few photos and an exact address are all we need to start, and we are happy to talk through the details of your Highwood space by phone.

  • Restaurant buyouts and private dining

Rehearsal dinners often use restaurant patios or private rooms. Ask what the venue provides and what you can add.

Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.

  • Everts Park and village events

Public green space needs coordination. Check with the City of Highwood about reservations and rules.

Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.

  • Compact backyards

Small lots suit showers and anniversary parties. Choose slim chairs that fit tight spaces.

Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.

  • Fort Sheridan area events

Lakefront and preserve settings nearby have their own rules and access. Confirm with the managing agency.

How to plan

Getting linen rentals right

  1. 01

    Match each table

Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.

  2. 02

    One napkin per guest

Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.

  3. 03

    Don't forget service tables

Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.

  4. 04

    Accent layers

Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
