Celebrating in Lake Forest
Where Lake Forest hosts use linens
Seating for these events usually needs to feel collected rather than rented. Think cane-back chairs on a terrace or Louis Medallions in rows facing a garden ceremony. If you have a planner, we will happily work from their floor plan. If not, a call with us is a good first step.
Private estates and formal gardens
Ceremonies on the lawn and dinners on the terrace are classic here. Plan routes that protect beds, hedges and irrigation.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Tented lawn receptions
Larger celebrations often pair a frame tent with a formal garden ceremony. Coordinate chair timing with your tent installer.

Historic churches and chapels
Lake Forest's older congregations host many ceremonies, sometimes followed by a reception at home or nearby.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Preserves and lakefront parks
Public spots like Elawa Farm or Forest Park Beach draw outdoor events. Each has its own rules, so check with the city or the operator first.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
