Celebrating in Barrington
Where Barrington hosts use linens
Because these properties vary so widely, the most useful thing you can do is tell us what the ground and access look like. A few photos of the drive, the barn doors and the lawn go a long way. From there we can recommend chairs and plan the move.
Private barns and horse farms
Many receptions happen in barns on private property. Ask the owner about flooring, power and where trucks can park.
Linens here: Many barn tables look best bare with a runner. Rent napkins and runners and skip full cloths to save money.
Pasture and meadow ceremonies
Open fields are stunning but uneven. Mowing the ceremony area short a day or two before helps chairs sit level.

Estates and large backyards
Big lots suit tented receptions and summer parties, often with long drives between the road and the lawn.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Nature preserves nearby
Areas like Crabtree Nature Center draw people for photos and walks. Preserves usually have strict rules on gatherings, so check before planning seating.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Delivery notes for Barrington
- Plan a rain option. If the ceremony moves into the barn, tell us early so we can schedule the flip.
- Some properties sit outside village limits, so tent permits may fall under the county or a neighboring municipality. Check with the right office for your address.
How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
