Celebrating in Geneva

What Geneva venues usually need

Geneva has a particular kind of charm: Victorian houses, the shops along Third Street, and a riverfront that pulls people outdoors from May through October. Celebrations here often feel curated, with a garden-party sensibility that rewards chairs with texture and character over plain banquet seating.

For garden parties at older homes, plan a tent or canopy, tables and chairs, linens, string lights and, after dark in spring or fall, patio heaters.

For riverfront ceremonies, plan tables, chairs and a canopy if the permit allows, plus a generator or battery lighting where there is no power.

For barn and farm venues, plan farm tables, wood chairs, string lights and a dance floor, since barn boards and gravel are rarely level.

For third street showers and luncheons, plan only what the venue does not include: often chairs, linens, chargers, lounge pieces or a dance floor.

A joyous couple enjoys throne chairs and flower walls for celebrations as their sweetheart seating backdrop, toasting with dinner guests inside an elegant clear-top tent decorated with chandeliers, the kind of setup we arrange in Geneva — Throne chairs and flower walls for celebrations, styled at an event

Party rentals in Geneva: questions

Where can I rent party equipment in Geneva?

Build a quote on Beyond Chiavari with everything you need, from tents and tables to linens and bounce houses. We confirm availability with Chicago-area rental partners that deliver to Geneva, IL, then send one itemized proposal with delivery and setup included.

How much do party rentals cost in Geneva?

It depends on the items. Tables start at $3.30, linens at $0.83 and tents at $1.10 per item through Beyond Chiavari. Delivery, usually $150 to $400 per order, setup, a damage waiver and tax are added on the quote.

Can I get tents, tables and chairs on one order in Geneva?

Yes. Add every category to one quote and we coordinate the partners, so you get one proposal, one delivery window and one contact for your Geneva event.

Can I hold a wedding ceremony along the Fox River in Geneva?

Some riverfront parks allow small ceremonies with a reservation, and others don't permit added seating. The Geneva Park District and the city set those rules, so check with them first. Once you have approval, we'll plan delivery around their access rules.

Do I need a permit for a backyard tent in Geneva?

Larger tents often require a permit, and the City of Geneva decides what applies. Ask the city's building division and your tent provider before you finalize the layout. We can adjust chair counts and rows to fit the approved tent.
