Celebrating in DeKalb County
Where DeKalb County hosts use linens
To choose a vendor zone, note that DeKalb County is the farthest west of the regular Chicagoland delivery area. Deliveries to Sandwich and Sycamore may come from Fox Valley vendors, and longer drives are reflected in the quote. Send your address and we match you with the closest crew and itemize delivery so you can see the true cost. Winter dates add one more factor, since snow can close county roads quickly.
Campus and graduation events
NIU weekends bring big graduation parties in DeKalb and Sycamore, when chairs and tables go fast.
Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.
Courthouse square and downtown events
Sycamore's square and downtown DeKalb host festivals and weddings, with limited parking and loading.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Barns and farm venues
Rural DeKalb County has barns and farm properties with gravel drives and uneven ground.
Linens here: Many barn tables look best bare with a runner. Rent napkins and runners and skip full cloths to save money.
Fairgrounds and community halls
Sandwich hosts its fair, and halls and church events in Genoa and Kingston need lots of seating.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table

- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
