Celebrating in McHenry County
Where McHenry County hosts use linens
For vendor zones, think about whether you are in the Fox River corridor or out in the western farm country. A backyard party in Cary is a short run from the eastern suburbs, while a barn near Harvard or Marengo is a longer drive. Send your address and we match you with the closest vendor and itemize delivery in your quote.
Fox River and lakefront parks
Algonquin, McHenry and Crystal Lake have riverside and lakeside parks that suit ceremonies. Wind and soft ground are common.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Conservation district sites
McHenry County Conservation District properties offer prairie and wetland settings. Check with them about permits and vehicles.
Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.
Barns and farm venues
Western McHenry County has barn and farm venues. Expect gravel lanes and limited turnarounds.
Linens here: Many barn tables look best bare with a runner. Rent napkins and runners and skip full cloths to save money.
Downtown squares and community halls
Woodstock's square and halls in Crystal Lake and Huntley host weddings, showers and school events.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.

One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
