Celebrating in Streeterville
Where Streeterville hosts use dinnerware
Public spaces like Navy Pier, Ohio Street Beach and the lakefront paths draw big crowds, and rules on equipment and events vary by site. Lake wind is strong and can be severe on rooftop decks, so heavier chairs are a good call. A short planning call helps us line up chair styles, table counts and a timeline that fits your building's schedule.
High-rise party rooms and amenity floors
Condo and apartment buildings host birthdays, showers and holiday parties, with elevator and rule reservations.
Dinnerware here: Rooftops need sturdy plates and a plan for clearing them quickly; lighter melamine works for casual events.
Hotel ballrooms and meeting rooms
Hotels along Michigan Avenue host galas and conferences, often with in-house furniture policies.
Dinnerware here: Many venues and caterers include plates. Rent only what they don't have, such as chargers or dessert plates.
Navy Pier and lakefront spaces
Public and event spaces on the lake, with venue-specific rules and strong wind.
Dinnerware here: Parks rarely suit real china because of breakage and cleanup; consider rentals only for a seated dinner under a pavilion.
Rooftop terraces
Skyline and lake views, with wind and weight limits to plan around.

Getting dinnerware and plate rentals right

Chargers sit under each place setting and set the color story; they are removed before the entree.
- 03
Plan for buffets

- 04
Coffee and dessert
Add cups and saucers for about 60% of guests if coffee is served.
