Celebrating in Round Lake
Where Round Lake hosts use linens
Local parks, the Round Lake Area Park District's pavilions and community spaces, and nearby Lake County Forest Preserves offer room to spread out. Fields and lots in this part of the county can be flat and open, which means wind, sun and soft ground. Tell us your site and guest count, and we will plan seating that holds up.
Round Lake is part of a cluster of villages in northwest Lake County, with Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park and Hainesville close by. The Metra stop and the area's main roads tie it together, and the neighborhoods are a mix of long-established blocks and newer subdivisions. It is a warm, family-oriented community where celebrations are large and often multilingual.
Banquet and community halls
Large quinceaneras and baptisms often use halls. Ask the venue about what is included and when setup can begin.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Backyard tent parties
Newer subdivisions have open lots that suit graduation and birthday tents for 100 or more guests.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Park district pavilions
The Round Lake Area Park District manages parks and shelters. Confirm reservation hours and tent rules.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Church halls
Communions and baptism parties often follow a service. Plan chairs and tables around the parish schedule.

One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
