Celebrating in Grayslake
Where Grayslake hosts use linens
Open fields mean wind, uneven ground and long walks from the nearest road. Spring rains can leave low spots muddy for days. Share your location, whether it is a farm, a park or a backyard, and we will plan chairs, tables and a delivery path that works for the terrain and the weather. A few photos and an exact address are all we need to start, and we are happy to talk through the details of your Grayslake space by phone.
Farm and prairie weddings
Open fields and barns create beautiful backdrops but require attention to ground conditions and delivery routes.
Linens here: Many barn tables look best bare with a runner. Rent napkins and runners and skip full cloths to save money.
Fairgrounds and community events
The Lake County Fairgrounds hosts shows and gatherings. Check with fairgrounds management for rental rules.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Subdivision backyards
Newer neighborhoods have roomy lots suited for tented graduation parties and quinceaneras.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Park district pavilions
Grayslake parks host family parties. The local park district sets reservation and tent rules.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Delivery notes for Grayslake
- Check with the Village of Grayslake about permits for large tents or backyard events.
- Open fields get windy, so weights for tents, linens and light chairs are worth planning for.
How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
