Celebrating in Mundelein
Where Mundelein hosts use linens
Parks and lakeside spots add outdoor options, including the Mundelein Park and Recreation District's community parks and the Diamond Lake area, while neighborhoods off Route 60 and Route 45 have yards big enough for a tent. Wind across open lots and soft ground after storms are the common surprises, so tell us your site and we will plan seating that holds up.
Mundelein spreads out around its downtown, the Metra tracks and the shores of Diamond Lake. The University of Saint Mary of the Lake, with its Georgian buildings and lake, adds a striking campus to the village, and the village has long been a hub for Catholic life in Lake County. That faith community shows up in the calendar as first communions, confirmations, weddings and anniversary Masses throughout the year.
Parish and church halls
Communions, confirmations and receptions are common. Ask your parish what it provides and when the hall opens for setup.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Banquet halls for quinceaneras
Large guest lists mean counting tables carefully. We can help you plan seating for the court and the family.

Park district pavilions
The Mundelein Park and Recreation District manages shelters and fields. Confirm reservation hours and tent rules with them.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Backyards near Diamond Lake
Lake-adjacent yards are lovely but can be breezy and damp, so weighted tents and sturdy chairs help.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.

- Lake-adjacent yards can stay soft after rain. Ask about ground protection for chair legs and table feet.
How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
