Celebrating in Glencoe
Where Glencoe hosts use games & kids
Many events happen at home. Mature lots with sloping lawns, stone terraces and old oaks are ideal for tented receptions, rehearsal dinners and milestone birthdays, but they come with their own puzzles: uneven ground, narrow drives and neighbors close by. Lakefront and park district spaces draw ceremonies and community gatherings, and the downtown near the Metra station is walkable for guests arriving from the city.
Lakefront and park district sites
Glencoe’s beaches and parks are lovely for ceremonies, but access, hours and tent rules are set by the Glencoe Park District, so ask early.
Games & kids here: Parks usually require permission for inflatables and often a generator, since there is no outlet nearby.
Ravine and garden backyards
Sloped lawns and mature trees make beautiful settings. Ask us about leveling options for tables and where chairs can safely sit.
Games & kids here: Measure the yard: most bounce houses need a flat space about 5 feet larger than the unit on each side, an outlet within 50 feet, and no overhead wires.
Botanic garden area weddings
The Chicago Botanic Garden is in Glencoe. Venue rules vary, so confirm what rentals are allowed on site.
Games & kids here: Measure the yard: most bounce houses need a flat space about 5 feet larger than the unit on each side, an outlet within 50 feet, and no overhead wires.
Downtown and community spaces
Smaller receptions, showers and fundraisers around the village center are easy for guests who arrive by train.
Games & kids here: Indoor inflatables need ceiling height: check the clearance, since most units stand 13 to 16 feet tall.
Delivery notes for Glencoe
- Many streets are narrow and winding. Tell us about steep driveways or tight turns so the delivery vehicle is sized correctly.
- Lake breezes can be strong in spring and fall. Plan for sturdy chairs and consider a windbreak for open lawns.

- 03
Supplies
Concession machines need supplies (kernels, sugar, cones) priced per batch.
