Celebrating in Morris
Where Morris hosts use linens
Delivery comes down to access. Route 47, Route 6 and I-80 handle most traffic, and the river and canal limit crossings. Morris is beyond Joliet, so we confirm the vendor and drive time before quoting. We itemize delivery in every quote so you can see exactly how the address affects the total. Tell us where the truck can park and how far chairs need to be carried from the street or lot.
Canal and riverside parks
Gebhard Woods and riverside parks suit small ceremonies. Confirm permits and vehicle access with the managing agency.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Parish halls and community centers
Morris churches and halls host receptions, showers and fundraisers with varied guest counts.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Downtown courthouse events
Events near the courthouse square have limited curb space and loading.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Farm and country backyards
Surrounding farmland offers large lots and barn venues with gravel drives.
Linens here: Many barn tables look best bare with a runner. Rent napkins and runners and skip full cloths to save money.
Delivery notes for Morris
- For Gebhard Woods and other state sites, confirm permits and vehicle rules with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
- Check with the City of Morris about tent rules and street use, and share any requirements so setup matches what is approved.
How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
