Celebrating in Lockport
Where Lockport hosts use linens
Logistics reflect the geography. Downtown streets are narrow and some historic buildings have steep stairs or limited elevators, while parks along the river can be low and soft after rain. We ask about loading, steps and ground conditions, and we recommend mid-morning delivery when downtown foot traffic is lighter. Remember that older stone buildings can have uneven floors, so choose chairs with stable frames and plan walkways accordingly.
Canal and downtown events
Historic buildings near the canal host weddings and receptions, often with stairs and tight loading.
Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.
Dellwood Park pavilions
Park pavilions suit birthdays and reunions. Check reservation and vehicle rules with the Lockport Township Park District.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Backyard bluff parties
Hillside lots offer views but slope. Plan stable chair rows and hard-surface staging.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
