Celebrating in Hickory Hills
Where Hickory Hills hosts use linens
Typical celebrations include graduation open houses, anniversaries, retirement parties, showers and small weddings, plus many Polish and Irish-American family gatherings tied to local parishes. We help you plan around slopes and access, choose chairs that stay stable, and confirm delivery timing so your setup is ready. Walk the yard with a level in mind, and tell us which spot is flattest so we can place seating where wobbling chairs and tilting tables are least likely.
Sloped backyard parties
Ask about leveling and stable chair feet. Choose flat spots for tables when possible.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Parish and community halls
Graduations and anniversaries often need extra chairs beyond what the hall holds.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Park district events
Pavilions need reservations. Check with the Hickory Hills Park District.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Forest preserve picnics
Nearby preserve groves need a Forest Preserves of Cook County permit and a short carry.

One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
