Where Fox River Grove hosts use lighting
Fox River Grove is a small village on the Fox River, near Barrington Hills and Cary. The Union Pacific Northwest Metra line stops in town, and Algonquin Road meets Route 14 and the tracks near the station. The village is compact, and many events are home-based, so planning around narrow lots and shared streets comes first.
Riverside yards
Homes near the Fox offer scenic backdrops, with slopes and soft ground to plan around.
Lighting here: Park events usually end at dusk; if yours does not, battery lanterns and uplights avoid the need for power.
Wooded lots
Shaded lots suit intimate dinners and showers, but tight access can limit tent size.
Lighting here: String lights between trees or poles turn a yard into a venue after dark. Plan power runs and keep cords off walkways.
