Celebrating in Forest Glen
Where Forest Glen hosts use games & kids
Metra's Milwaukee District North line stops at Forest Glen and Edgebrook, giving guests an easy ride from downtown. Edgebrook's small village-like business district has cafes, shops and a community feel. Residents often host at home because the yards are large, and graduation parties, anniversary dinners and backyard weddings are standard on the calendar. Many of those households have lived there for decades, so word of mouth matters.
Edgebrook and Wildwood backyards
Large, tree-filled yards suit backyard weddings and graduation parties.
Games & kids here: Measure the yard: most bounce houses need a flat space about 5 feet larger than the unit on each side, an outlet within 50 feet, and no overhead wires.
Forest preserve groves
Forest Glen Woods and Billy Caldwell Woods offer permitted picnic spaces through Cook County.
Games & kids here: Parks usually require permission for inflatables and often a generator, since there is no outlet nearby.
Edgebrook village cafes and halls
Small event rooms and patios host showers and birthdays.
Games & kids here: Indoor inflatables need ceiling height: check the clearance, since most units stand 13 to 16 feet tall.
Church and school halls
Parishes and schools host communions, fundraisers and receptions.
