Celebrating in Flossmoor

Where Flossmoor hosts use linens

Delivery planning comes down to trees and slopes. Creek-side lots can be soft, and long driveways or lots with a front-to-back grade mean carts and extra crew time. Commuter traffic near the station is brisk on weekdays, which is another reason we recommend weekend morning or early afternoon deliveries. Overhanging trees and underground sprinkler lines are worth flagging before tent stakes, tables or rows are laid out.

  • Large backyard weddings

Estate-sized lots can host a ceremony and dinner on one property. Plan for tent flooring where ground is sloped.

Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.

  • Graduation open houses

Homewood-Flossmoor High School graduates keep May and June busy with tents and buffet tables.

  • Golf club receptions

Area clubs host weddings and anniversaries. Check the club's rental policy for outside vendors.

Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.

  • Village and public lawns

Public lawns suit small ceremonies and community events with proper permissions.

Delivery notes for Flossmoor

  • Mature trees limit tent sizes and truck reach. Mention overhead branches and gate widths.
  • Weekday commuter traffic near the station is heavy, so we prefer weekend mid-morning drop-offs.

How to plan

Getting linen rentals right

  1. 01

    Match each table

Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.

  2. 02

    One napkin per guest

Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.

  3. 03

    Don't forget service tables

Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.

  4. 04

    Accent layers

Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
