Celebrating in Cook County
Where Cook County hosts use linens
The easiest way to plan is to start with the town, not the county. Each suburb and neighborhood has its own page here with local venues, parking and delivery notes. If you are weighing two sites, say a banquet hall in Rosemont against a backyard in Evergreen Park, send both and we will quote each so you can compare real numbers instead of guessing.
City and lakefront events
Chicago venues, lofts and parks mean freight elevators, dock reservations and strict load-in windows. Ask your venue for its delivery rules first.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Suburban banquet and event halls
Rosemont, Schaumburg, Oak Brook edge and the south suburbs have halls that often supply some seating, so confirm what is already included.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Forest preserve picnic groves
The Forest Preserves of Cook County offer picnic groves for group events. Check their reservation and vehicle access rules before ordering delivery.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Backyards and church halls
From bungalow yards on the Northwest Side to ranch lots in the south suburbs, most family milestones happen at home or in a parish hall.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Delivery notes for Cook County
- Expressway traffic on the Kennedy, Eisenhower, Stevenson and Dan Ryan can swing a delivery by an hour on a Friday. Build in buffer for Saturday weddings.
- For forest preserve and park events, confirm with the district where vehicles may drive and how far chairs must be carried from the lot.
How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
