Celebrating in Richton Park
Where Richton Park hosts use linens
Practical planning covers weather and access. The land is flat and open, so wind catches tents, and low spots take time to dry after rain. Subdivision streets can be tight when many cars arrive, so a heads up about parking helps. Midday delivery avoids the Sauk Trail and Cicero Avenue rush. Plan your table count around buffet traffic flow, since community center and church hall layouts often need clear aisles.
Community center events
The village center hosts receptions and programs. Check the facility's rental rules and setup times.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Church and banquet halls
Fellowship dinners and weddings need long tables and dependable chairs, with a set load-in door.

Forest preserve picnics
Preserves like Sauk Trail Woods suit big reunions. Check the Forest Preserves of Cook County permit rules first.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
Backyard and townhome parties
Open yards host tents and cookouts, while townhome patios suit small showers.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
