Where Oak Park hosts use linens
Because Oak Park's lots and streets are tighter than in the far western suburbs, planning matters. We'll ask about alley access, stairs and parking on a planning call, and send a quote that itemizes chairs, delivery and setup.
Historic homes
Prairie-style and Victorian homes host dinners and parties, and their built-ins and narrow halls shape how many chairs fit.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Church and community halls
Receptions, memorials and religious celebrations often happen here. Sanctuary and hall access often depends on the church calendar.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Backyards with alley access
Many Oak Park lots have rear alleys and garages, which can make loading easier than the front street.

Garden weddings
Mature elms and careful landscaping make lovely ceremony spaces in surprisingly small yards.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right
- 01
Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
