Celebrating in Mount Greenwood
Where Mount Greenwood hosts use linens
Driveways are generally wide and alleys are less common than on the north side, so deliveries often come right to the front. Even so, fences, gates and sprinkler heads matter. Tell us about the yard and any hall rules, and we'll set a delivery time and styles that suit. A short call can lock in your plan. Sprinkler lines are common in the larger lawns, so please mark them or tell us where they are before we set up.
Large backyards
The default for graduations, communions and retirement parties, often with tents.
Linens here: Floor-length linens hide folding tables but catch wind outdoors. Use clips or a lap-length cloth for breezy lawns.
Parish halls
Receptions and luncheons use hall space with fixed schedules.
Linens here: Hall tables are usually plain plastic, so full floor-length linens make the biggest difference in this kind of room.
Mount Greenwood Park
Public green space and park facilities for family gatherings; permits go through the Chicago Park District.
Linens here: Picnic tables need fitted or lap-length cloths; floor-length linens drag on the ground and stain on grass.
111th Street banquet rooms and pubs
Party rooms for anniversaries and retirement dinners.
Linens here: Venues often include white house linens. Renting colored or textured linens is the cheapest way to change the room.

How to plan
Getting linen rentals right

Match each table
Floor-length cloths look formal; lap-length cloths are cheaper and fine for casual events.
- 02
One napkin per guest
Add 5% spares, plus cocktail napkins if you are serving passed appetizers.
- 03
Don't forget service tables
Gift, cake, DJ and buffet tables need linens too; they show up in photos.
- 04
Accent layers
Runners, overlays and chair sashes add color without replacing every tablecloth.
