Planning tips
Getting chairs right
- 1
Count guests
One chair per seated guest, plus 3-5% spares for vendors and late RSVPs.
- 2
Split ceremony and reception
If the ceremony and reception are in different spaces with no flip time, you need two sets.
- 3
Match the table
A 60" round seats 8 Chiavari chairs or 10 folding chairs. A 72" round seats 10-12.
- 4
Add cushions
Chiavari and cross-back chairs usually include or rent a seat pad; confirm the color.
Questions
Velvet dining chair rental FAQs
How much does it cost to rent a Velvet dining chair in Chicago?
$19.80 each for one event day, based on current Chicago-area market rates. Delivery and pickup (usually $150-$400 per order), setup, a damage waiver (about 10%) and sales tax are added for your venue, so a delivered order typically costs 35-60% more than the rental rates alone. Multi-day rentals are quoted on request.
Can you deliver a Velvet dining chair to my venue?
Yes. We arrange delivery, setup and pickup anywhere in Chicago & suburbs, including Evanston, Oak Park, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, Naperville and nearby towns. Tell us about stairs, elevators or load-in windows and we include them in the quote.
How far ahead should I reserve?
For May to October weekends, reserve 2-4 months ahead; tents, specialty chairs and dance floors go first. For other dates, 2-4 weeks is usually enough. Your quote holds nothing until you approve it.
How much does it cost to rent chairs in Chicago?
Basic white folding chairs rent for roughly $3-4 each, padded folding chairs about $4, and Chiavari, cross-back or ghost chairs about $10-16 each. Delivery, setup and pickup are usually quoted separately and depend on distance, stairs and timing.
How many chairs fit at a 60-inch round table?
Eight chairs fit comfortably and ten fit snugly. Chiavari chairs are narrow, so ten Chiavari chairs at a 60" round still leave elbow room; for wider chairs like cross-back, plan eight.
