South Asian weddings often span several events, welcome large guest lists and include ceremonial seating. Planning seating well takes more than a headcount.

What to plan for

  • Multiple events. Sangeet, ceremony and reception can each have different layouts and chair needs.
  • Large guest counts. Stackable chairs make delivery and storage far easier at 300 or more guests.
  • Ceremonial seating. The couple, parents and officiants often need distinct seating at the mandap.
  • Elders first. Plan comfortable, supportive chairs close to the action for older guests.

Pieces to consider

Our advice

Talk with your venue and decorator early. The mandap, stage and seating plan all affect each other. When you request a quote, list every event and its guest count, and we'll price each separately.
