A mid-size party is the sweet spot for most restaurants, hotel salons and barn venues. At 5 rows the layout is simple, but placement of the head table, bar and entrances still decides whether the room feels open or crowded.

A center aisle of about four feet looks right in photos and still lets two people walk side by side. Narrower aisles feel tight; wider ones push the rows apart.
